You Can Find Gold In Parts?

TLM Wall of Fame
With the start of the New Year, it’s time again to review the training available to all areas inside the dealership. With changes to equipment, technologies and procedures we have to be vigilant that our parts staff is equipped with the skill sets to carry out their responsibilities at a level unequaled in the industry. TLM parts pride has always been anchored in the high level at which they carry out their day to day activities, whether that is direct sales to the customer or the inventory control that goes on behind the scenes.

Toyota Material Handling recently published information surrounding Toyota Gold Level Parts training:
Toyota Parts Professional Gold Level Certification takes the basic education already mastered in Bronze and Silver Level and adds Sales Skills and Strategic Management education required to run an efficient, profitable Parts Program.

In 2012 there will be 4 Advanced Parts Training sessions Advanced Parts sessions. Training education events will be held at the Toyota National Training & Customer Center in Columbus, IN. The Toyota Experience can only be had by conducting the Advanced Parts Training in the Toyota Columbus facility. Examples of unique activities include; Plant & Part Distribution Tours, TPS Training session and interacting with parts professionals from across the USA.

Emphasis will be placed on putting the Gold Level Parts Professional in the position to help train, educate and mentor new Parts Associates to start on their quest to becoming a Parts Professional.
We are very proud to boast two Gold level parts professionals, Scott Lestina and Steve Doyle. Scott is our go to guy at the back counter working closely with technicians in the field and shop, while Steve is one of the two gentlemen you’ll speak with if you call for parts support. Each has been working with TLM for going on eighteen years, personifying experience and professionalism. Further we expect that two others will reach the top level in 2012.

There is a lot of knowledge required to manage and maintain a professional parts department. It takes a great deal more than just a body sitting behind a desk. Toyota Material handling, TLM and our staff all work very hard to insure that your forklift parts needs are served by true experts. Experts that are proud of the work they do and the level of service they support.
